Karin Sander „Coordinates“

Characteristic of Sander’s conceptual practice is that the work is essentially a tautology; the title of the work also designates the place where it is installed and forms its only visual manifestation: signs on the walls or windows indicate the coordinates of the location. The work is radically site-specific, as it cannot exist outside this one place without changing its appearance. At the same time, it is infinitely adaptable: When it is installed in a new location, its signs change, indicating its new geopositioning.
